  • Dr. Brenton Cox

    Dr. Cox is a native of Epworth, Georgia. He is a graduate of Shorter University in Rome, Georgia. He holds Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, TX. He previously pastored Bethlehem Baptist Church in Copperhill, Tennessee, and Valley View Baptist Church in Cleveland, Tennessee. He has been pastor at First Baptist, Manchester, since 1994. Brenton and Cyndi have two sons, Zachary who is married to Emily and Gavin who is married to Amy. Zachary and Emily have three sons, Cooper, Hank, and Quinn.   • Dr. Jake Dorak

    Dr. Jake Dorak is a native of Manchester, TN. He is a graduate of East Tennessee State University in Johnson, City, TN where he received a Bachelor degree in Communication. He also holds a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. Jake came to FBC Manchester in June of 2014. He has previously served as a Student Pastor for five years in Kingsport, TN and Lead Pastor in Spring Hope, NC for three years. Jake met his wife, Katie, at the Baptist Collegiate Ministry of ETSU. They have four children, a son named Luke, a daughter in heaven named Ella Kate, and their twins: Elliot & Katelyn. Jake enjoys reading, jogging, and watching the Tennessee Volunteers play football.   • Todd Green

    Todd is originally from South Carolina and is married to Susan Green. Susan is one of our wonderful church pianists and the director for the School Of The Arts (SOTA) that meets at FBC. Todd and Susan have a beautiful daughter named Mary, who was born in 2000. Todd is most comfortable leading worship from behind his guitar and enjoys new praise songs as well as new arrangements of classic hymns.  

    Todd enjoys writing songs and devotionals. Prior to coming to First Baptist Church (July 12, 2015), Todd and Susan served 15 years at a church in Nashville, TN. He has a Bachelors Degree in Music from Anderson College in South Carolina and a Masters Degree in Vocal Performance and Church Music from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, TX.

    Tim is a native of Casey, Illinois. He is a graduate of Southern Illinois University (2001) in Edwardsville, Illinois. He holds a training certificate from The Kanakuk Institute (2003) in Branson, Missouri and a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (2007) in Louisville, Kentucky.   • Daniel McKenzie

    Daniel grew up in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  He graduated from the University of Alabama (1997) and holds a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (2000) in Fort Worth, TX.  Daniel joined the FBC staff in August 2020.  He previously served for as Youth Pastor for 20 years at Central Baptist Church in Johnson City, TN.  Daniel has studio recording experience on several projects including two of his own Christmas album releases in 2010 and 2013.  He and his wife, DeAnne, have three sons – Clayton, Carter, and Davis.  Daniel enjoys playing guitar, bass, and drums; listening to 80’s music; fantasy sports; watching his sons play baseball; and pulling for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

    Meghan is a native of Decatur, Alabama. She graduated from Carson-Newman University (2015) with degrees in Church Music, Instrumental Performance, and Spanish. She received a Master of Arts in Christian Education with an emphasis in Children’s Ministry from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas in 2018. Meghan began serving on staff as the Preschool & Children’s Minister in July of 2018. She has previously served on staff at First Baptist Church in Willow Park, Texas. In her spare time, you can find Meghan cross stitching, baking, reading, playing board games with friends, drinking a cup of coffee, or watching Braves baseball.

    Daniel grew up in Michigan where he started working for General Motors.  He moved to Tennessee to work for Saturn Corp. in 1989 and retired from General Motors in 2011 after 32.5 yrs. of service. Daniel is married to Penny. He has two sons, Ian and Justin, and four granddaughters. Penny has two daughters, Natasha and Kassie, a granddaughter, and a grandson. Daniel enjoys watching the Braves with Penny and traveling whenever possible.

    Karen is a native of Winchester, TN. She is a graduate of North Alabama College of Commerce, a business school, in Huntsville, AL, where she holds a certification in Secretarial Science. Her duties at First Baptist Church include preparation of the newsletter, mid week prayer sheet, Sunday worship bulletins, and Pro Presenter presentations for worship services as well as assisting church staff, members, and visitors in various ministries. She and her husband, Clint, have three children, Colt, Cade, and Kassi.

    Jennifer grew up in Winchester, TN. She is a graduate of Tennessee Tech University where she received her degree in Accounting.  She worked as an auditor with a CPA firm in Nashville for 7 years before moving to Manchester. Jennifer and her husband, Jon, have two children, Kamryn and Carter.
